As the North Dakota Library Association Membership Chair, I invite you to join us. Our membership is diverse and includes librarians, library staff, trustees, and friends, affiliated with all types and sizes of libraries.

Why should you be a member of NDLA? Membership is fun and rewarding, it supports the library profession in our state, and it's a great way to get to know people from other North Dakota libraries! Our success depends on an active, enthusiastic, and sharing membership. It's through your involvement that you and everyone in the North Dakota Library Association gains.

We have several membership categories available:
•   Individual personal membership is for anyone working in a North Dakota library. This membership is $35/year and entitles you to vote and hold office. You'll also receive member registration rates at the conference.
•   Student personal membership is for persons enrolled in a library school program (3-year limit). This membership is $20/year and entitles you to vote and hold office. You'll also receive member registration rates at the conference.
•   Trustee personal membership is for members of library boards of trustees. This membership is $20/year and entitles you to vote and to receive member registration rates at the conference.
•   Associate personal membership is for persons not currently employed in a North Dakota library, such as retirees, friends, volunteers, and vendors. This membership is $20/year and is non-voting. You'll receive member registration rates at the conference.
•   Institutional membership dues are based on a library's FTE staff: $50/year for libraries with up to 3 FTE staff; $100/year for libraries with 4-9 FTE staff; or $150/year for libraries with 10 or more FTE staff. For each $50 of dues, one person from the library’s staff may register at the conference member rate. Institutional memberships do not include any personal memberships.

Personal members may belong to as many sections and roundtables as they wish, choosing from: Academic and Special Libraries Section, Health Science Information Section, Public Library Section, School Library and Youth Services Section, Archives/Records Management Roundtable, Government Documents Roundtable, New Members Roundtable, and Technical Services Roundtable.

Membership forms are available in several formats:
      •   Send online form & dues payment through PayPal  
      •   HTML (fill out form on your computer, print, mail)
      •   PDF (print blank form, fill out, mail)
      •   RTF (print, fill out, mail or fill out on computer, print, mail)

Our 2013 Annual Conference will be held in Sioux Falls in September in conjunction with the South Dakota Library Association and Mountain Plains Library Association. We look forward to seeing you there!
